Position Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management for designated BrightView sites. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect BrightView’s business objectives. This includes, but is not limited to, administering policies, maintaining employee records, and employee relations. This role works closely with HR leadership relating to strategic staffing plans, training, development, and the core values and mission of BrightView.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Conducts weekly meetings with respective Operation Directors of respective sites
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the VP of HR and legal counsel as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Identifies training needs for sites and individual coaching needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel to regional sites as needed (25-50% travel regionally)
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment with occasional travel to BrightView centers. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and may occasionally require some weekend work.
Required Education/Degree:
Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent
Required Certification/License:
SHRM-CP or PHR Preferred
Required Experience:
3 years of proven Human Resources experience
